Trick or Obama

Last night, we had the pleasure of giving candy to the neighborhood kids, whose costumes were really top-notch this year! In light of the historic election only days away, we decided to perform our own litmus test on the candy-addled toddler to preteen demographic: we offered them candy from two identical trays, one labeled "Obama Candy," and the other "McCain Candy"–

(A side note: Reese's Cups are better than ButterFingers, but not if they're branded McCain)

As you can see, Obama candy went faster. Of course we expected nothing less from the great neighborhood of Dorchester here in the politically progressive City of Boston. This young gentleman above dressed as Joe the Plumber, and his female counterpart a sassy Sarah Palin, with a moose hand puppet. The first words out of her mouth: "Gimme some candy, or the Moose gets it!"  ...When offered a piece of Obama or McCain candy, she was a bit vexed about breaking character– but not even a trick-or-treater this committed is immune to the gravity of the upcoming election, and she triumphantly chose Obama.

Wrapped in Felt

AngerLite wrapped production of "Felt Up" on Monday, October 6th. A big thanks to everyone involved, puppet and human alike. Also thanks to Dave Lewis, for letting us use his fabulous MTV crib, SCAT, and Spice and Rice. Post-Production won't get started until next week, and we're aiming for a release sometime in January.

For now, feast your eyes on these lovely production stills from the show!

First Day of Production for Felt Up!

Well, as promised, a peek into the goings-on at AngerLite... these are some photos from our first day of production on "Felt Up." We were lucky enough to secure a location at an office in the beautiful, historic Schrafft's Building in Sullivan Square. We didn't get to see any of the landmarks Charlestown is famous for, but on to the pictures, (wouldn't want to bore!)

FELT UP! Production Begins Oct 1st in Boston, MA!

I'm stoked to announce that AngerLite is finally going to produce something... long!

Yes, after a number of shorter sketches (OK one runs a little long... you know who you are) we are gearing up to produce a full - length TV episode! We needed something to break up all those commercials with...

Felt Up is a mock reality TV series. Inspired by a 15-second spot and informed by the ever hilarious Arts & Crafts Pro. In this "series" a washed-up Billy Mays impersonator is attempting to reignite his career. He's going to choose his true love* from a lovely pool of contestants, all of whom happen to be... puppets. That's right. It's like Tila Tequila meets Sesame Street, in a dark dark alley.

Production begins on the 1st of October 2008! (...And if you want a copy of the DVD when we're through, click the link below)
